Plot and land check: what can you build on your plot in Kenya?
The Plot and Land Check is a session with a registered architect that tells you what a plot is likely to allow, what could go wrong and which questions to put to your county, surveyor and lawyer. It is best done before you pay for land. We do not verify ownership or search titles; a lawyer must do that.
- 60 or 120 minutes
- From KES 20,000, VAT excluded
- Credited against design

Questions about the Plot and Land Check
Can you confirm who owns the plot?
No. We do not verify ownership or search titles. That is a lawyer's job. We tell you which questions to put to your lawyer and surveyor.
When should I book, before or after paying a deposit?
Before is better, because the point of the session is to raise problems while you can still walk away. You can also book if you already own the plot.
Do you visit the plot?
On-site sessions are available, with travel quoted by location before you book. Otherwise the session runs online using a map pin, photos and any survey plan.
Is the fee credited if I proceed to design?
Yes. If you book design with Aalis Studios within 90 days, the session fee is credited in full against the design fee.
