2011
Launch Company
Aalis Studios was founded in 2011 in Nairobi, Kenya, with a vision to redefine architectural and interior design through innovation and sustainability. From the outset, our mission has been to create environments that are both sculptural and soulful, ensuring every line, texture, and material resonates with a deep sense of purpose.
2018
Member Increased in Company 25 +
In 2018, Aalis Studios expanded its services by establishing Aalis Avant-Garde Ltd, a construction affiliate dedicated to managing all construction aspects of our turnkey projects. This strategic move allowed us to offer comprehensive design-and-build solutions, ensuring seamless integration from concept to completion. Aalis Avant-Garde Ltd is registered and accredited by the National Construction Authority (NCA), reflecting our commitment to adhering to industry standards and delivering high-quality construction services.
2020
The Lexus Design Award
In 2020, our collaboration with BellTower culminated in winning the Grand Prix at the Lexus Design Award for the "Open Source Communities" project. This initiative addressed challenges in developing countries by utilizing smart open-source planning to design affordable communities with sustainable clean water resources. The award recognized our commitment to innovative and sustainable design solutions that contribute to a better future.
